Glass Railing Cost Per Running Foot in Gujarat: 2026 Price Guide

Glass railing prices in India are quoted per running foot (RFT) of railing length, and the number swings from about 500 rupees to over 4,000 rupees. This guide explains what drives the price so you can compare quotations properly.

Typical starting prices (material plus fabrication, Rajkot, 2026)

• SS 304 spigot glass railing, 12 mm toughened glass: from 899 per RFT

• SS 304 pipe railing without glass: from 499 per RFT

• Aluminium slim profile glass railing (bottom channel system): from 1,200 per RFT

• Staircase SS railing with glass: from 1,200 per RFT

• PVD gold or rose gold finish railing: from 2,500 per sq ft of railing face

• Spiral staircase railing: from 4,500 per RFT

What changes the price

• Glass thickness: 10 mm vs 12 mm vs 8+8 laminated. Laminated is safest for high floors and costs the most.

• Height: standard 3 ft (900 mm to 1,100 mm). Anything taller adds glass area.

• Finish: mirror polish, matte, or PVD colour coating.

• Mounting: floor spigots are cheapest; side-mounted brackets and continuous aluminium channels cost more but look cleaner.

• Corners and curves: each bend or curved section adds labour.

• Site location: installation outside Rajkot adds travel and lodging.

What should be included in a proper quotation

A serious quotation lists glass size and thickness, SS grade with certificate, spigot or channel specification, handrail size, number of corners, installation, and GST. If a quote is just one number per foot with no specification, you are not comparing like with like.

Rough example

A 40 RFT balcony in SS 304 with 12 mm glass at 899 per RFT comes to about 36,000 rupees plus GST for supply and installation in Rajkot. The same in aluminium slim profile at 1,200 per RFT is around 48,000 rupees.
